When I was 17 years old, my family moved to Navarre Beach. My dad and I have always loved the ocean and were avid surfers. However, I noticed that many kids do not have the opportunity to surf because the closest surf camps are an hour away in Destin and cost close to $100 a day. So, in order to create a job for myself and help out kids in the area, I started Navarre Beach Surf, a surf class designed to be as affordable and kid-friendly as possible. To make sure my class stays fun and effective, I ask every student at the end of the class what he or she felt about how we taught and what we could do to further improve the program. I also have a feedback option on this webpage for those who wish to stay anonymous with their opinions.
